When I Flew from Port-au-Prince to Port-de-Paix

It was a 17 passenger plane and only the 5 of us were Americans. We sat in seats that looked like they had been ripped out of a school bus complete with a metal grip bar on top. As we took off it became extremely hot. And the flight became more of an amusement park ride rather than a form of transportation. I actually loved it as my stomach dropped to my feet. The Haitians slept through it. The other Americans were clenching the rail like it might truly save them.
